Twin Dolphin Golf Club
TWIN DOLPHIN GOLF CLUB
The Twin Dolphin Golf Club is located in Los Cabos, Mexico, at the southernmost tip of Baja California, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. Opened in late 2018, the course was designed in collaboration with professional golfer Fred Couples and is the only Fred Couples Signature Golf Course in the region. Set atop high desert terraces overlooking one of the most beautiful stretches of the Los Cabos coastline, the 7,156-yard golf course is interwoven among the rugged arroyos, beautiful native vegetation, and dramatic rock formations throughout the site. We even managed to add in a do-or-die 19th hole, an exhilarating par-3 that can be played just steps off the 18th green.
“What really separates the course from others in Los Cabos is how the course plays. The ball bounds about, and there is an ability to run the ball into nearly every hole. The golfer will try shots they may not try elsewhere and is constantly engaged in creative play”, says Todd Eckenrode.
Absolutely stunning ocean views are showcased on nearly every hole, as a backdrop to the classic and traditional styling of architecture. Rumpled fairways, natural-styled bunkering, and short-cut fairway heights throughout add to the appeal of this world-class layout.
Says Adam Lawrence of Golf Architecture Magazine, "The combination of naturalness with a terrific routing...truly make for a course that is a joy to play. I will say that anyone who values naturalism in golf will have to go a long way to find better work than this."

"Todd Eckenrode has created a throwback design, one that melds seamlessly into the natural rolling terrain. It's a true hillside desert course, yet it isn't at all penal. Wide landing areas, helpful speed slots and sideboards, numerous bailouts and a lack of forced carries into the greens make this pure fun for every handicap."
